steve-jobsReports have surfaced that Steve Jobs, the beloved co-founder of Apple (Along with ballroom dancer Steve Wozniak), has undergone a liver transplant in Tennessee.

How this will affect individual owners of iPhones, iPods and Macs is currently unknown, but that hasn’t stopped the tongue-wagging of MacHeads around the world.

“Now that Steve has a new liver, I’m hoping that will bring tethering to the iPhone on AT&T,” said Nicky Manning, a frustrated customer and independent filmmaker.

“It’s a new day…and a new liver,” said Carole Myers of Fort Myers. “I’ve been waiting to upgrade to the new MacBooks and this is just the kind of news that will make me take the plunge.”

Even stock analysts were thrilled at the news.

“Steve’s new liver will surely clear the way for a Mac netbook,” said Lehman analyst Bart Schroeder. “It’s the one component of their lineup that’s still missing, and I think this liver is the right liver to make that happen.”

But ever-grumpy tech columnist John C. Dvorak isn’t so sure. “It may be a new liver. But it’s the same old Apple!”

Too bad. I guess this means they'll scrap plans for the new jaundice line of iphones. I was looking forward to it. Pink just really isn't my color.
