Reports have surfaced that Google is preparing to launch its own operating system known as Chrome OS. Those in the know are whispering that - similar to Bing being an acronym for “Because It’s Not Google” - the wags at Google named their OS “Chrome” as an acronym for “Can Having Reliable OS = Microsoft Execution?”
In a related story, Steve Ballmer has begun eating everything in sight. Calls from his sponsor at Overeaters Anonymous have gone unanswered, and Microsoft employees are keeping their hands and feet away from his ravenous maw.
Apparently it takes a lot of work to scream “but we’re cheaper!” As Microsoft touted PCs running their operating system as less expensive than Macs on TV recently, it seems they weren’t paying attention to a BIG hole in IE security until it was already being exploited.
I’m still checking my sources for confirmation, but the rumor on the street is that there is going to be a switch from analog TV transmissions to digital tomorrow. If this is true, it could mean real trouble for millions of Americans.
