Mashable is reporting that Twitter’s odd nutty insane unprecedented traffic growth flatlined in May. In response, Twitter executives have agreed to put forward a bold move to increase the allowed tweet size to 142.
“This is our Hail Mary,” said Jessica Lunn, spokeswoman for Twitter, who then swallowed hard and tried desperately to smile convincingly.
Experts have no explanation for the sudden move sideways, although Facebook’s statuses may be the real culprits.
In fact, sources confirm that a cabal of rogue Facebook Statuses have been seen out on the town, yukking it up with the social media mavens, buying rounds of drinks and providing clean whores.
There has even been a report of corporate espionage following the arrest of a Facebook Status carrying a gun near the tree where the Twitter Bird lives.
